Worm Gear Alignment

Press the spur gear onto the worm gear shaft making sure the spur gear is square and true. You can test this by rolling the shaft on the edge of a flat surface, watch the spur gear as it rotates there should be minimal wobble. You can apply metal epoxy to glue the spur gear onto the worm gear shaft securely. Make a shaft guide from flat ABS 25mm x 25mm and drill a 5/16 hole in the center, insert the worm/spur gear assembly thru the hole in the motor mounting plate and place the worm gear shaft guide onto the back of the worm gear shaft. Apply ABS cement onto the surface of the worm gear shaft guide then press the shaft guide onto the rear panel making sure the spur gear properly meshes with the motor gear and the worm gear shaft is perfectly aligned with the motor/motor shaft. Hold in place untill the cement sets on the shaft guide.
